Who Am I

My name is Marwa Fakhro. I was born in Aleppo Syria in 1983. Since I was a child I have had a strong passion for art and painting. I studied oil painting and sculpture at the Aleppo Institute of Art, in Aleppo during the years 1996-2002. While studying I participated in many art exhibitions and 1999 I was granted by the city manager of Aleppo an "Artist Certificate" as a prize and recognition for my outstanding paintings.

I completed my teaching degree at the "Institute of Teachers" in Aleppo in 2005- I have worked as an art teacher for several years. I am the mother of three wonderful babies.

When I think of my country, Syria, I start to think of many different things. I remember our gatherings with friends and family, the sweet smell of jasmine biomorph, and the delicious smell of Syrian food spread across the streets. My heart will always be with Syria. Be safe and God bless you.

About Me

I'm Marwa Fakhro, and my artistic journey started with the captivating heritage of old Zuqaqs in Aleppo. Since childhood, I've had a deep passion for intricately drawing Arabic textures and letters. Now, I channel that enthusiasm into my art, where I integrate Arabic letters into paintings. My goal is to not only emphasize our culture but also to reflect the rich tapestry of oriental traditions, creating pieces that resonate with a diverse and interested audience.
